Appropriate Dance Attire for Class
Ballet:
Pre-Ballet, Pre-Primary and Primary:
Pink R.A.D. tunic with matching waist elastic, pink seamed tights, soft pink ballet slippers with elastics across the instep.
Grades 1 through 5:
Navy blue R.A.D. tunic with matching elastic, pink ballet tights, soft pink ballet slippers with elastics across the instep. Ballet 5 may require pointe shoes.
Character:
Grades 1 through 5 require a black character skirt and low-heeled black character shoes.
Props:
Grade 1: Square chiffon handkerchief / Boys: Windmill.
Grade 2: Small hand pillow (ring bearer) / Boys: Small box and hammer.
Grades 6, 7 and 8:
Royal Blue sleeveless bodysuit and skirt, ballet pink tights, soft pink ballet slippers, pointe shoes.
Major Grades:
Black sleeveless bodysuit, ballet pink tights, soft pink ballet slippers, pointe shoes.
Tap, Jazz and Hip Hop:
Pre-Tap:
Pink R.A.D. tunic with Mondor micro-fibre suntan tights. Beige tap shoes.
Junior 1 through Pre-Intermediate 3:
Black sleeveless bodysuit with suntan Mondor tights.
Jazz footwear: Beige Split-Soled Bloch’s
Tap footwear: Beige low-heeled tap shoes with Tele-Tone taps
Intermediate and Advanced:
Black sleeveless bodysuit with black Mondor tights. Appropriate footwear. Students may wear any bodysuit for classes, but must have the above attire for exams and workshops.
Hip Hop students:
Black sleeveless bodysuit, black jazz pants, black jazz runners or non-marking running shoes (may be purchased from any retail store).
